The Spiral Abyss in Genshin Impact is a challenging set of battles, often considered to be the most difficult in the game. To clear up the Spiral Abyss quickly, you'll need strong characters and team compositions to keep things going smoothly.
Fortunately, there are many characters for Spiral Abyss who are not only strong but flexible. These characters have strengths in their kits that allow them to flex across multiple teams. Owning one of these characters means you have a good chance of getting a quick clear.
A quick wipe is essential as Spiral Abyss resets itself about twice a month. A quick removal of Spiral Abyss leads to better rewards, with a potential 600 Primogems per reset.
Here are some of the strongest characters you can use in Spiral Abyss. They are not classified in any particular order and are considered for their ability to adapt to different team compositions.
Bennett
Bennett is Genshin Impact's primary healer and damage buffer, with an essential role in many different team compositions. Not only does he have solid healing, but he is one of the few characters in the game who can boost your team's damage.
Its explosion creates a large AoE circle on the floor that heals and empowers all the characters within it. The attack buff on allies, along with the survivability she provides, allows Bennett to adapt to many team compositions, such as community name Skills of the national team, which includes: Bennett, Xiangling, a hydro character like Xingqiu or Tartaglia, and a flexible unit like Raiden Shogun, Kazuha or Sucrose.

If you're underestimating the fetid cat Diona, you shouldn't. She is greatly underrated as a squire and healer in the Spiral Abyss. She's especially good if you don't have a Zhongli of your own, but she adapts to many races where teams need a Cryo battery. Eula or a permafreeze team with Ganyu or Ayaka loves Diona's support.
Its Constellation 6 also provides a great Elemental Mastery boost with its Burst. This allows her to boost the damage of amplified reactions, making her a great choice to add to a team that relies on reactions.
Kazuha
Kazuha is the new main unit of Anemo, a complete package of damage and utilities. It provides a large amount of stacking with its elemental ability, increases your team's damage with its passive, and contributes greatly to your team's overall damage with its skill and burst.
It adapts to almost any team, thanks to its ability to increase elemental damage. It doesn't fit well with Anemo or Geo-focused teams, as it can't power up those elements. Also, you wouldn't pair Kazuha with Eula or Razor who focus on physical damage. Otherwise, you can't go wrong by putting Kazuha on any team.
Mona
Mona is a strong burst support that excels at amplifying damage, but her primary use is in a permafreeze team. She fills a strong niche on a permafreeze team, which means she is a prominent support for characters like Ayaka or Ganyu.

Winds
Venti is Anemo's second main unit, known for its ability to completely trivialize many floors due to its Elemental Burst. Her barrage has the best grouping potential in the game, with a hefty amount of crowd control. He is an important part of many permafreeze teams because of this.
However, many enemies in later floors become resistant to her crowd control, damaging her vitality. This is becoming more and more of an issue as Spiral Abyss' rotations become more difficult, so it's possible that Venti may completely fall out of the limelight soon. For now, however, Venti can adapt to almost any team.
Xiangling
Did you know that with low investment, Xiangling's damage output matches that of a five-star character? When you match its maximum with reactions, especially Vaporize and Dissolve, it deals an unsettling amount of damage. In addition, he applies Pyro to every tick of his explosion, which means that he quickly activates elemental reactions.
Xiangling also has access to many free-to-play friendly weapons, such as The Catch. This makes it not only a flexible unit to put into teams such as national competition or reverse fusion competition, but also an easy unit to build.
Xing Qiu
Xingqiu is a meta-definitive character due to her ability to apply the Hydro element to enemies with her ult. He does a lot of damage with his elemental ability and elemental blast, but also empowers his team with amplified reactions like Vaporize.
Xingqiu is also a relatively low investment unit, as one of its best weapons is a four-star weapon (the Sacrificial Sword). It fits well into a national team or a permafreeze team with Ayaka or Kaeya.
Zhongli
Zhongli consistently ranks as one of the most used characters in Spiral Abyss, and it's easy to see why. Zhongli's shield gives you a level of comfort in your game, thanks to how much tank your characters make. His shield doesn't break easily and allows you to dodge less overall.
Zhongli also fits many teams, as Geo is generally a non-destructive element (Cannot be used in a permafreeze team, however, as the Geo element destroys all frozen enemies.) Basically, any team with low survivability will enjoy a Zhongli, and it is almost always worth a throw.
